Come 2015, Coney Island beachgoers will come ashore to connect with sharks, skates, rays and other fish. The New York Aquarium’s newest exhibit will bring people to the sea, and the sea life to the people.
Thanks to the dedication of people like you, our first WCS Run for the Wild was a huge success. All told, 2,085 participants, 217 teams, 1,037 donors, and our generous sponsors raised an impressive amount to help WCS save turtles and other endangered species around the world.
More than 1,500 fish fans submitted name ideas for our new electric eel and aquarium staff have chosen a winner: Wattson. Thanks to everyone who participated.
An 18-pound septuagenarian lobster is loving life in Coney Island, where he’s taken up residence at Sea Cliffs. The lobster is the largest of its kind ever to live at the aquarium.
